Q: My display is not responding, what can I do?
A: Make sure that there is nothing in between the display and the actual case part. Make sure the screen protector is not misaligned forcing the touch screen to be pressed down constantly. Also clean all sides from dust and dirt since cases have been seen where this causes a constant pressure on the display. If this doesn't help call support for further instructions.

Q: My battery is almost new but it is running out very quickly, why?
A: Go to Start->Settings->System->Power->Calibration->connect your AC power and run a full calibration (caution: this action takes up to 24 hours). For even more information contact support for a nice article about how to handle and taking care of your battery!

Q: How do I setup my Nomad's internal GPS to work in my own software (Arcpad for example)?
A: Start->Settings->System->GPS->set GPS program port o (None)->set Hardware port to COM2 and baudrate 9600->Access folder and unmark "Manage GPS automatically". Start Arcpad and assign the comport to COM2 and activate your GPS.

Q: My GPS is not receiving any signals anymore!?
A: Make a reset of the GPS: Hold down the power button until the countdown begins and release when it has started to count. Choose "Shutdown" and let the unit be turned off for approximately 20 minutes. Start the unit up and try activating your GPS again.

Q: My unit is not charging and/or the USB port is not responding, what to do?
A: Replace the bottom boot and try again to see if it helps, if it does not help contact support for further instructions.

Q: My Backlight is turned off and I can't turn it on again!?
A: Hold the power button pressed down for 1.5 - 2 seconds and it should light up again.

Q: How do I activate the scanner?
A: You can find Scanner agent under Programs but you can also assign a button to scan when pressed down. Start->Settings->Buttons->Assign "Arrow up" button for example with ScanAgent. Now you can press "Arrow up" when you want to scan.

Q: I want to connect a Bluetooth accessory such as a Bluetooth GPS , what do I need to do?
A: Press the Bluetooth icon on the desktop, active Bluetooth and press menu->Bluetooth settings->Add new device..->mark your device and choose next->enter pass code if prompted->finish. Now go to the COM Ports folder in the Bluetooth settings window->New Outgoing port->COM8 or COM9->unmark secure connection->finish. Start your software and use the COM8 or COM9 to be able to receive data from your Bluetooth device.

Q: I want to erase everything on my unit to make it as new as possible!?
A: Reset the unit by holding down the power button and when you see the mosaic picture you quickly press the right softkey (-) while still holding down your power button. Confirm the erase with enter when prompt to. (Caution: this will erase all data and additional software that has been installed after delivery).
